Hey, friends! Thanks for checking in with us on our Provision Homes Update! There is so much happening on our journey, and we’re excited to catch up with you.
HOUSE #6 – SOLOMON’S HOUSE

Solomon’s house is well underway, and should be finished in the next few weeks! Solomon is a faithful employee of Good Samaritan Baptist Mission (the mission we work with in Honduras). Solomon has a beautiful wife and daughter, and a precocious, adorable son. He works in the Pulperia, which is where all of the food bag supplies are purchased and the bags are assembled. This area of Good Samaritan Mission is also in charge of supplying all of their feeding kitchens with the food they need for their daily meals. It’s QUITE an operation!
Some of the mission employees that work in the sponsorship program department came to us and let us know that Solomon was in a difficult spot. He had taken out a loan and purchased land, and had begun to build his family’s home. BUT, the builder he had hired made some miscalculations, and the house had been sitting, unfinished for a long time. Now, he was in danger of losing everything. We went to see Solomon’s unfinished home, and definitely felt God calling us to reach out to Facebook world about helping Provision finish this home for this precious family.
Praise the Lord, the house was fully funded by a friend of ours who lost her husband tragically a few years ago. She is building this house in his memory! Contact us about how you can get info about building a memory home for a loved one who has passed. House #7 is already funded and ready to go! We’ll be posting that story soon! God is AWESOME, guys!
MAY TRIP
We usually take our annual GROUP trip to Honduras in July, but this year, there were some scheduling issues with the mission, so we moved the trip to May! It’s a little more stressful because it came on MUCH quicker than we were ready for! We definitely are doing a big yard sale to raise funds for our family’s travel. Also, since Jason and I have been twice already this year working on houses, we’ve already spent the money we would already have saved on the summer trip, for our early spring trips to work on houses! BUT, we aren’t worried, because we know that God ALWAYS provides what we need.
We are also taking a smaller group this trip, since it’s so quick. Several people wanted to go, but the turn around time for passports is ridiculous right now, which seems strange since LESS people are traveling? Anyway, we know God has put together the team he wants!

We are still accepting donations for FOOD BAGS to distribute on this trip. This is always our favorite part of any trip, blessing the poorest families with the provision of food. You can visit our Donations page and give through the payment portal, or through venmo.
Will you help us pray about this upcoming trip? There are several prayer requests related to this trip. I’m going to list them below, so you can have that as a guide as you are praying. Thank you for interceding and lifting us!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Pray that God will help a few team members finalize their trip plans. There are medical issues with family that have placed question marks in their plans.
- Pray for Financial provision for our team members as they work to pay for their trips.
- Pray that God will go before our team, open doors and hearts. We are asking God with every trip now, that he will lead us to encounter families that He wants Provision to build a home for.
- Pray for us to have WISDOM as we search for land to possibly purchase for future Provision projects. Ask God to show us exactly what he wants.
- Pray for Good Samaritan Baptist Mission: Missionaries Arold and Stephany Mejia, their children Annie & Aiden, Mission Office Manager Rebecca Day, mission office employees: Office staff, Board Members, Teachers, Pastors, Administrators, cooks, guards…SO many others. This mission is so close to our hearts, and we LOVE all the people that we work with there. They help us with houses and get so excited for these families! Please lift them in their work that is so desperately needed in Honduras.
- We are praying about developing a monthly support program that would help us cover the cost of traveling back and forth to Honduras as we identify family’s and then see projects through to completion, including moving the family’s into their new homes and furnishing those, being certain everything is finished well and the family’s have what they need. Will you help us pray about this?
HOUSE #7 – Pastor Pompilio’s House
We have a sweet Pastor and his wife that have been identified for House #7 in Choluteca, Honduras. Pastor Pompilio has been a Pastor for Good Samaritan Mission for over 30 years. He is SO faithful, and has been such an encouragement to the Tyson Family (Good Samaritan Founding Family) and now to the Mejias. (Stephany Tyson-Mejia is the granddaughter of the founding missionaries, Bob & Joan Tyson. Her husband, Arold Mejia, is the President of the mission now. You can read ALL about Good Samaritan Baptist Mission and it’s history at their website: http://www.goodsamaritan.ms

Pastor Pompilio, his wife and family are SOOO excited that God has provided a home for him to live in, even when he retires from Pastoring. What a beautiful gift for a faithful servant of God.
THANK YOU
Thank you SO much for reading this far, and, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Provision Homes for Honduras with your prayers, love and financial support. We never dreamed we would be building homes in Honduras, but God has a beautiful plan. It’s such an honor, such a privilege to be part of God’s PROVISION for these families he sends our way. God Bless!
