Angel’s House is almost finished!!

Hey friends! Please forgive the lapse of updating from me recently! I’ve taken another job, and my time is just completely filled. I wanted to let you know what’s been happening with Angel’s house! This build took a bit longer than typical, because of the location of the house. Angel’s mom, Gloria has family in the small village of “Los Mangos” which is about an hour from town. Her family and friends donated land for her house, and we designed a nice little 2 bedroom house that will be a haven for she and Angel.

I’ve been messaging back and forth with sweet Gloria, and she is just beside herself happy and excited to have a safe place to live and care for Angel. Living in a room attached to a bar has been a trial for her, and has tested her faith in many ways! So, THANK YOU to all who have donated on her build! You’ve given to help a precious little family who could not help themselves!

We still need funds to help pay for finishing the house, and to purchase some furniture, as much of whatever she did own was damaged or destroyed when her original rental house collapsed in the storm. Jason is flying over to Honduras next week to open the house and help get Gloria and Angel moved in! He’s so excited to be able to be there for the opening.

He has one other task, and that is to visit and love on a family that we built a house for, whose precious special needs daughter, Abigail, passed away suddenly. You probably remember Chepe’s family…Chepe is one of the builders on our crew, who does all of the iron work on the doors and windows. Chepe is truly an artist, and the brother in law of our contractor, Kewer (Cay-wer). Sweet Abigail got sick, so they took her to the doctor, and she just never recovered. They don’t really have answers for what was wrong, or why she died, just like they don’t really have a diagnosis for her disabilities. Chepe and his sweet wife, Dasny, as well as the entire family, are absolutely devastated. Abigail was their only child. Please pray for them as they walk these days of grief ahead.

We will be beginning a new house build VERY soon, which will be located in Choluteca, Honduras for sweet Pastor Pompilio! I’ll add a QR below that will direct you to a previous post all about Pastor and his retirement house!
