So far, Provision has been able to provide 3 homes for families in need across Honduras. For each project, team members of Provision pray over families who are poor and need help around the San Marcos de Colon area. Once a family has been chosen, we begin working with our trusted Honduran contractors and Good Samaritan Mission leaders to design and build a house that will meet the family’s needs. Below you will find pictures of the families and their homes then and now. To find out information about our current projects and how you can help, please visit our “Current Projects” tab above.

The above pictures depict Provisions very first project. During one of our yearly trips to Honduras, we meet a little boy named Nefry. He was 5 years old living with his 90 year old grandparents who could no longer work to help support him. Not only did a member of our group pledge to support Nefry through the Good Samaritan Mission, but we also felt the Lord leading us to build them a new house after witnessing the conditions they were currently living in. After meeting with the grandparents and ensuring building them a house was even possible, we met with a Honduran contractor who helped us design and build a home for Nefry and his family. We didn’t have the money to build the house, but we knew God would provide. Our group began posting about Nefry’s story all over Facebook and money began rolling in for the construction of his new home. Within a few weeks, we had the funds to build the family a nice, new, safe home where the grandparents could continue to raise Nefry as he went on to study at the Good Samaritan School. It has been 5 years since Provision built Nefry’s house. Currently, Nefry is in the 2nd grade and still living with his incredible, godly grandparents.
House 2

In this sweet family, both of the girls were sponsored by members of our home church. After the pandemic hit, the oldest daughter was trying to finish out her senior year online. However, the house they were renting had no wifi and was falling to pieces. Our team prayed and decided that this family would be the next house Provision would build. We bought a piece of land close to where they previously lived and built them a safe, brick adobe house. We did not know this at the time, but the father of the family had worked on the construction team we had hired for the first house and now would get to help in the building of his own. After some weeks, the family was finally able to move in to their new home with 3 bedrooms, an indoor bathroom with pluming and hot water, and a piece of land they now owned. Since then, the eldest daughter has graduated and is now studying at university while her younger sister finishes her schooling at Good Samaritan.
House 3

This project just finished this past winter as we built a house for a child with cerebral palsy. The house they were previously living in was built on the side of a hill out of sticks and plastic table covers. A previous group had told us about this family after they built an outdoor bathroom for the family. We spent several hours with the family getting to know them and praying over their daughter in the wheelchair. We decided to not only build them a safe, new house on their property, but to also built a sturdy bridge for the little girl to cross over the small stream that separated their house from the main road. As our founders head down in the next few weeks, they will be giving us an update on the family and their new home. Stay tuned for the update!
